416Direct was asked to attend the CFIB Annual General Meeting where the CFIB Board presented their 5 year vision. 416Direct was fully in alignment with the CFIB stated direction. Subsequently the CFIB agreed to co-host the Meeting of the Minds (MOTM) program of regularly scheduled small business workshops and events.

The CFIB held a joint press event with The Minister of State for Finance, Ted Menzies to announce major legislative changes reflected in the 2013 Federal Budget due to CFIB lobbying on behalf of Canadian small businesses.
