These gorgeous black lentils make a statement (both visual and flavorful) when combined with colorful ingredients and smoky spices, such as cumin, paprika, or Indian-inspired flavors. Lentils are an excellent source of dietary fiber and protein, which can help you feel full longer. The fiber is of both soluble and insoluble types—soluble fiber is linked to lowering cholesterol and reducing the risk of heart disease, and both types are helpful in controlling hunger, stabilizing weight, and regulating digestion. They also have no cholesterol and are low in salt, with only 4 mg sodium per cup.- Farmer-owned, fair trade, organic = fairDeal™
