Ingredient: white peppercorns - the "naked" seeds of the tropical vine Piper nigrum. The darker-colored skin of the pepper fruit has been removed by soaking the ripe berry in a brine and rubbing it off. Country of Origin: India or Sri Lanka Common use: White pepper has a milder, more delicate and slightly musky flavor compared to black pepper. It is useful for adding a peppery note to light-colored sauces and dishes without adding black color. White pepper is popular in Chinese, Thai, and European cuisines. Storage: Store in a cool, dark, dry place. This product has been packaged in the same facility as peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, and soy products.
